| Dear Waterman
Academy, |
August 2004 |
My son Troy recently returned from the
21-day Waterman Academy. As we met him at
the ship, I could immediately see a physical
change in his physique. His arms and mid-section
were ripped from the push-ups, pull-ups
and sit-ups. His change in mannerism was
also very apparent and now he says "Yes
Sir" and "Yes Ma'am".
As a parent I have total faith and confidence
in Captain Scott McClung as well as the
entire Rapture crew. 21 days is a long time
for a parent to be without their child,
but the growth that a child gains is immeasurable.
I have seen my boy grow from a quiet son
to a confident young man. The challenges
put on the participants instills teamwork
and confidence that shows.
Troy is now certified in basic shipboard
firefighting, SCUBA diving, lifeguarding
and CPR. These young men have all tackled
obstacles that most people will never see
in a life time.
I am extremely proud proud of my Troy and
all the young men who participated in the
Waterman Academy. I am also proud of Rapture
Marine Expeditions for making such a noticeable
difference in my son.
I highly recommend every parent treat their
children and themselves to the Rapture experience.
Thank you,
Randy Phillips
| Dear Captain
McClung and the crew of the Rapture, |
December 2004 |
I would just like to thank you for the
once in a life time learning experience
that a teenager could ever have. When I
stepped aboard that ship, I never thought
that I would walk off certified as a lifeguard,
SCUBA diver, and in basic shipboard firefighting.
There were a lot of wonderful things aboard
that one of a kind ship, the food for one!
I thought that we were going to have bad
food but I was totally wrong about that,
we had excellent food. Another good thing
was the atmosphere. There were a lot of
nice people. Some of the bad things were
Fetzer for one and some other small conflicts
but all was well. Even though I had to do
an extreme amount of push-ups I taught myself
a lot of discipline. Once again, thank you
for having me aboard your ship, I have benefited
from it. I hope that I will be able to return
to the same wonderful experience again.
Sincerely,
William Wynhamer
